Study: 40% of all tourism and migration to South Dakota is hostage based

Whether it’s someone visiting majestic Mount Rushmore or choosing to move back after having lived out of state for a while or moving to the state for a first time, according to a new study almost half of all of these decisions are based guilt regarding family and friends who are trapped in South Dakota.

“We really wanted to take the kids to Disney world or maybe Yellowstone but grandma still lives in Boxelder so I guess we’ll travel through on the way to Devil’s tower”
