South Dakotans Literally Starve To Death

According to the Dakota Scout:

Malnutrition deaths rose 50 percent in 2022 from 2021, and they have more than doubled in the last four years.

While the number of deaths attributed to malnutrition is still small compared to the total number of people who died, the 106 people who died last year climbed to levels that rival other causes of death that receive more attention.

A decade ago, malnutrition deaths in the state were rare. Just 11 were recorded in 2011 and nine in 2012.

Dear legislators, I know you’ve got a lot on your plate bullying both the trans kids in South Dakota, but could we have a little bit of competent leadership to address this? You know, as a treat? Please?
